- Die Gruppe entspricht der früheren Plasmopara pygmaea (Unger) J. Schröt., z.B. in Brandenburger & Hagedorn (2006). Sie umfasst Plasmoverna anemones-ranunculoidis und P. pygmaea sowie bezüglich der Artzugehörigkeit bisher nicht näher untersuchte Befälle. Der Befall an Anemone blanda gehört genetisch und morphologisch zu einer eigenen, noch unbeschriebenen Plasmoverna-Sippe.
