- Der taxonomische Wert der 1995 beschriebenen Sippe ist umstritten. Es wird vermutet, dass sie sich in Mitteleuropa als Neo-Endemit aus der neophytischen Eragrostis pilosa-Gruppe gebildet hat (Scholz 1995).
