- Der Pilz ist weltweit sehr selten (Vánky 2012). Außer in Deutschland ist er bisher nur in Italien nachgewiesen (Scholz & Scholz 1988, Vánky 1994). Evtl. ist eine erhöhte Verantwortlichkeit Deutschlands für die Erhaltung der Art vorhanden.

- Der erstmals 1931 in Deutschland nachgewiesene Pilz wurde vorher vermutlich übersehen und wird als indigen eingestuft.
