- Subendemit der Nordalpen und hier stark gefährdet. Eine verwandte Art, Tayloria delavayi von Yunnan (China) wurde mit T. rudolphiana synonymisiert. Über die chinesischen Populationen, von denen es nur ganz wenige und zudem alte Angaben gibt, ist sehr wenig bekannt (Koponen 1992).
